Treasure Hunting

Well this weekend was full of treasure hunting!

It started out Friday night when Reese and I did some treasure hunting at the outlet mall :)
A stop at Carters for Reesey girl and a stop at Banana....and both mommy and baby were happy!

Saturday morning I got up nice and early and met up with Carissa in Cokato.
We ventured to Dassel where we checked out Whimsy Green.
Such a sweet family.  Sisters and a Mother who love to decorate and re purpose furniture.
I always love following her blog to see her updates.
Check them out at Whimsy Green or Proverbs31 Blog
She used to teach with Carissa, so I have followed her blog through her.
Very touching story, send them lots and lots of prayers these next few weeks as the road ahead is a tough one.

I took some pictures of all of the things I found in the gorgeous red barn!

I also stumbled upon 2 stores in Buffalo....Yesterday's Charm and The Porch & Atelier
(such cute finds!!)

Gorgeous basket and Fall sign from Whimsy and a cute mason jar from Yesterday's Charm

I found these Amazing little chalkboard signs at The Porch & Atelier

Part of my new furniture piece from Whimsy.
It had a chalkboard door so I decided to add a little pizazz with
a cute idea I got off of etsy.

We had to do some rearranging to make it all work.

The final result.....and I luuuurv it!!

Another sweet little find at Whimsy.  I am in love with this
sweet little birdy.
She sits above my kitchen sink in the sunlight.

I added a little sign to my planter on the window sill.
loving those sweet little signs.

Another adorable find at Whimsy.  (and if you think that I actually could leave something like this out on our ottoman you are very WRONG)  I snapped a picture of how cute it could be for entertaining and then blew out the candle, brought the peanuts up to the counter and dumped out the wine (jk I drank the wine) but you know what I meant :)

Oooooh and by treasures you wouldn't think that I would leave out my cute new necklaces that I found :)

HAHAHA and this made me laugh.  I wrote "Happy Fall" in chalk and 2 minutes later I came back and it looked like this.  I guess Carter isn't that happy about Fall :)

This looks familiar?

Our little girly is scooching all over the place.
And she ALWAYS ends up here....the fireplace.  On the cold tile.
I don't know what the attraction is, but it is definitely her favorite spot.
So I grabbed some pics.

And then I had a flashback and quickly went down to the computer and looked at my March 2010 album (Carter about 6 months as well)  And there I found these pics......

Same attraction, same age, same scooting, just a different angle and different kiddo :)

Construction Party!

We had some fun this weekend at our house celebrating Carter's 3rd Birthday Construction Style!
The neighbor kids all came over and celebrated Carter's Birthday.  And let me tell you this is just the surrounding couple houses....this isn't even half of our whole block.  Lots and lots of kids!  Carter looked through some of the birthday magazines and decided on a construction theme.  (He actually picked John Deere Tractor theme again, but I gently persuaded him towards another option :)

Momma had a ton of fun with this one.
(I really think I would completely enjoy being an even coordinator for kids parties...is there such a job out there?)  And then I could scrapbook the memories for people!  Mmmm one can dream :)

Thank You Thank You to all of the neighbors for making Carter's Party so fun!
He had an absolute blast!
Well, what would a birthday post be without the pics....Enjoy :)

A bunch of the kiddos, big sisters came along for some fun too!

The birthday boy!

My babies.  Reese was such a good little girl the whole party.  I think she was lovin up all of the attention.

Hehehe makes me giggle these two.

So....Reese cannot STAND baby food, oatmeal, rice cereal....gags, vomits, spits.
But the girl can suck on a lemon and a cupcake without a reaction???  Really??!!

Such a sweet pic of Cohen!  He actually sat still for a photo.  Love you buddy!

Mommy and Daddy with the Birthday Boy.
Oh this one took some bribing.

Another shot of the 3 year old!

Reese and her daddy

Uncle Brandon and Carter playing with his new ninja turtles!

Nana and Reese....thank you mom for helping with the back splash just in time for the party, and thank you for picking up the cake and cupcakes!

I absolutely love this one!  Thanks Carissa for the great pic!
Sorry for those who may have had a 'bit o spit' on the top of the cake....
we haven't masted the 'blowing out the candles' trick yet :)

Me and the girly

Such a sweet pic of Auntie and Reese (You can tell Reese is just zoned and tired :)

Picture with Grandma and Grandpa Remme (He loves his new easel and guitar)  We found him downstairs Sunday morning with the guitar around his shoulder while he was coloring on his new easel.
Such a cute picture of Reese and Great Grandma Remme!

And what would a birthday post be without the decor pics!

Happy Birthday Carter Man!

And of course.....a fabulous cake made by Sandi Oh's Cupcakes
She is so incredibly talented!

Yummmmm and matching cupcakes....what a treat!

End of the Summer

Can you even believe it....Summer is coming to an end.
I personally am pretty excited.  I LOVE fall time and all of the holidays that soon follow!

I was going through my pics and thought a good end of the summer post was in store.

Little Reese all dressed up to go to Burger King with Nana, Mommy and Carter.
On Nana's days off she often comes up here and Burger King is usually Carter's request.  He has a blast hanging out in the play area.

The zoo was probably our favorite part about this summer.  For those of you who have little ones I HIGHLY recommend a family pass to the MN zoo.  You only need to go twice to pay it off and it is such a great place!  We do something different each time we go.

Reesey girl hanging out in the stroller, staying out of the sun :)

Carter having an absolute BLAST with all of the goats at the farm.

Ben came with us this time!

So did Kayli and Teagan!

All of the kiddos at the Tiger exhibit.

We ended the day at the fountains.  Everyone was drenched!

Reese very entertained watching all of the kiddos!

I could barely take his picture he was running around so fast!

Two weekends ago we headed down to The Peroutka's in Savage.  We spent the evening hanging out with the Augsburg crew.  Carter and Landon had a blast!
Here they are patiently waiting for some treats!

Love these pics that the neighbors took!
All of the girls the night before the 1st day of school.
Reese has so much fun hanging out with these girls.
(Hopefully they will continue to enjoy her presence since she might be toddling behind them in the years to come :)

What a cute group of girlies!
