39 weeks, I have a watermelon in my belly

How far along? 39 weeks! I just reached the 39 week milestone yesterday :) Baby is now the size of a mini watermelon. I had my OB apt on Friday....still 2cm and 60%....no sign of baby anytime soon :) She also said that she thinks I 'hide' my babies well. I am measuring right on, but when you feel my belly she thinks it is already in the 8's. We will see!

Total weight gain: hahaha well lets just say since my last visit I added a nice little 6-7lbs onto the total weight gain. I got a little puffy this week, especially in my hands.

Maternity clothes? I have worked so much this past week that my only 'outfits' have been scrubs and pjs.

Stretch marks? Nopers

Sleep: Sleep is ok. Once again it's not that I'm not comfortable, it just that my brain doesn't seem to shut off in the middle of the night. Starting on Friday I did start to feel extremely tired. I could barely keep my eyes open yesterday when we were out to lunch. I think being close to my due date AND putting in 72 hours of work in 7 days is catching up with me.

Best moments these past weeks: OH MY GOSH....finishing our kitchen project!! It looks AMAZING! Josh did such a great job. Eric came over on Friday and put on all of the hardware. (I may or may not have been on top of our counter tops/refrigerator at 37 weeks preggo painting our kitchen :) I just was so impatient, I wanted to see the new color! The reason why I am pumped is because everything is back into the cupboards and the mess is gone! Just in time for babe!

Miss Anything? Once again....I miss energy.....hoping it comes back soon :)

Movement: Baby is pretty crammed in there....not a whole ton of movt. Hiccups a couple times a day though!

Food cravings: Sugar treats and I may or may not have stopped at McDonald's this week because a Big Mac sounded sooooo delicious.

Anything making you queasy or sick: NOPERS, heart burn is a little intense at bedtime, thank goodness for TUMS

Gender: Still a surprise.....I think boy......But EVERYONE else thinks pink.

Labor signs: Contractions here and there, mostly after a long day at work. I have a feeling this baby is just as comfy as Carter was....inside.

Symptoms: I still feel great. Seriously, just the pure exhaustion feeling, but after being on my feet for 72 hours this past week, I think anyone would feel completely pooped.

Belly Button in or out? Out Out Out, people at work try to press the oven button, since the turkey is ready to be done cooking....doesn't work for this gal.

Wedding rings on or off? OFF. My fingers look like sausages.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Very happy, I am so thankful for such a patient hubby. All the work he did on the kitchen AND he has been keeping Carter man entertained.

Looking forward to: Saturday (March 3rd) is the big day! I will probably be induced on my due date. Since Carter was big and I am a second time momma we have decided to set that date. With Josh's business it does make it A WHOLE ton easier on a weekend. Can't wait to hold this little peanut in my arms. I am also VERY excited to see what Carter's reaction will be. I am sure he will just LOVE the new babe.

XOXOXO

XOXOXO from 'The Most Eligible Bachelor"
Lots of Hugs and Kisses sent your way from the Remme's on this Valentine's Day!

Ten Years ago today, a very cute senior boy asked me to be his girlfriend.
I remember the day perfectly.
I received a pretty flower bouquet at school from Joshua and then while he was playing in his hockey game I decorated his car with red marker and filled it with balloons!
I cannot believe that was TEN years ago.
Who would have guessed that I would be married to that 'cute senior boy' ten years later.

I am blessed to have such an AMAZING hubby.
Looooooooooove You Punk :)

Maternity Shots

My girlfriend Kara texted me a couple weeks ago asking if I would be a preggo model for her, because she wanted to try out a couple of her ideas.....

She came over to my house and snapped some pics of me and my preggo belly.
They turned out AMAZING.
LOVE LOVE LOVE them Kara....You are one talented chica :)

You can't tell by the pics, but Mr. Carter Man and Lily dog were DEFINITELY giving us a run for our money. Next time we will make sure daddy is around to entertain those two :)

Disaster Zone

Ummmm have you ever had to take EVERYTHING out of your cupboards?
Because we realized....how much STUFF we have.
We started the process of transforming our kitchen this week (Yes we have less than a month until the little one's arrival, what great timing ?!) Must be our way of nesting :)

So this is currently our pantry/dishware storage area....

What a mess!

We were so busy with the kitchen we failed to notice Carter taking post-it notes and sticking them all over lily dog. Poor pup....

Here is a "before" Pic....
The tile has been long gone and replaced with dark wide panel wood flooring and our woodwork has been changed to white, but you get the picture....

Plan:
The columns will be gone
The island will be one level
Cabinets white
Walls painted a fabulous new grayish/blue color
New lighting
Stone counter tops

Here is a little sneak peek of the cabinets and paneling.
Keep in mind the counter tops will be loooong gone (soon I hope)
And we had all new cabinet doors made for us
(much less work as compared to painting ALL of the doors)

As soon as the cabinets are done and the counter tops are placed we will definitely be changing the paint color and trim around the window to match the rest of the house.
Those two cupboards on the left side will also have glass doors...super pumped about this!

Stay tuned for the finished product!
May be closer to summer for the final result, but I was just so excited I had to share the progress. Once again, Thank You to my wonderful hubby, who is so motivated and AMAZING and to our brother-in-law Eric, who unfortunately for him, is GREAT at everything, so his skills are always getting him extra projects at our house :)

36 weeks .... REALLY??!!

I thought it would be fun to put up a pic of my pregnancy with Carter at 36 weeks....I am measuring about the same now as I was with him.

How far along? 36 weeks......REALLY??!! Why does this pregnancy just seem to be flying by this time? Maybe it is because we have SOOOO much to do. Reaching each week is exciting. (Please please please baby can you wait until 40 weeks to arrive??)

Total weight gain: We are right on track, baby is growing and so is momma :) My total wt gain is lower than my pregnancy with Carter. (I wasn't as sick the first time around though) My round belly is measuring right on/a little small. (Just like last time, I don't know where these babes hide?)

Maternity clothes? No new purchases. Just my long tanks, zip up hoodies and comfy sweatpants. I haven't tried to zip my jacket up in a few weeks though :)

Stretch marks? Nopers

Sleep: My body (mind) is definitely getting ready to be up during the night hours. I usually get up to use the potty and lay there for an hour because I am WIDE awake. I am comfortable (so that isn't the problem) My mind just doesn't shut off.

Best moments these past weeks: Daddy and Carter came with to my OB appointment. Carter got to help Dr. Sarah listen to the babe.

I also took a new position at work and it started this week! I took a PCF (Patient Care Facilitator) position on the Family Birth Center at Maple Grove Hospital. (Same unit, but just new position, sort of like a charge nurse/leadership position) I am very very very excited for the new adventure!

Miss Anything? I wish I had more energy, I feel like I get home from work and I am completely pooped.

Movement: Baby is most active at bedtime. However I don't feel him/her a ton. I didn't feel Carter that much either. I thought this little peanut was breech, but we checked at my last appointment....definitely head down! I am 1cm, 60% effaced and at -1 station (that's for my labor nurse girls :) (It took me 41 weeks to get there with Carter, so I am excited that I am not CLOSED, THICK and HIGH :)

Food cravings: Hopefully you cannot overdose on clementines. I think my record is 10 in a day without even noticing how many I ate :)

Anything making you queasy or sick: NOPERS, just a little heart burn, yay for TUMS

Gender: Still a surprise.....I think boy......But EVERYONE else thinks pink.

Labor signs: Contractions here and there, mostly after a long day at work.

Symptoms: I feel AMAZING. Baby, you can stay in for a lot longer, I have so much to do before you arrive! I told my OB that I could do this 3rd trimester thing x 3 (instead of dealing with the icky 1st and 2nd trimesters) She said...."I don't hear that often!"

Belly Button in or out? Has been out for a LONG time. Still attempting to tape it down at work, so it doesn't look like a nose is coming out of my tummy

Wedding rings on or off? Wedding band on....my main ring bugs me and gets a little tight.

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. I feel so great. No complaints.

Looking forward to: This little one's arrival! Only 1 month left. The nursery is 'ready', Crib up, car seat washed and ready to go, swing, bouncy chair, mobile and bassinet are ready for a babe. Organized "ALL" of our gender neutral clothes (pjs and white onesies) in the closet. Carter seems a little more aware of what's going on also. He has had fun lounging in the crib, laying on the boppy and watching the mobile in the babe's room.
