The Secret is Out!!

Oh Thursday was a fabulous day!  My family all got together at my aunt Penny's house.  Before we went over there, I called my Grandpa Weier to tell him the good news.  He answered the phone and I said..."Grandpa I have some good news for you"...."You are going to be a great grandpa!"  He says, "Thats the good news?!"  Haha, gotta love my Grandpa Weier.   He was very happy for us and already talked about making a trip out to see all of us this summer.

We surprised my family with a cake for my Grandma.  We were celebrating my Grandma's, Teagan's, Luke's birthdays and my brother's graduation.  It was a perfect time
to make the big announcement.  After the little ones blew out their candles I brought out a cake specially made for my Grandma Thompson.  I had her read what was written on the cake out loud, and eventually everyone caught one!  Grandma had a HUGE smile across her face :) This will be their first great-grandbaby too!  My Grandpa Thompson was also very excited.  I am sure he is thinking....finally a grandson that will play baseball...!!  My little cousin Kayli is hoping there is a baby puppy in my tummy...she also asked, "when will Erin's baby get
out?"  I was very happy to share such exciting news with my family!
While we were at the party, I posted the baby Remme pic on facebook....TONS of people responded and texted right away!  Its amazing what facebook can do :)  I also called my Grandma Alfaro during the party.  She thankfully had just gotten home and had gotten my message from earlier.  Both my Grandparents live in Massachusetts, so I wanted them to know, when everyone else found out.  She is very excited and also talked about a trip to MN as well!  I told her I already have been figuring out in my head, how long we need to wait before we bring our little one out East :)  Maybe Christmas 2009??  If I am insane enough to travel with a 3 month old?!
Well....the secret is out....friends, family, coworkers etc allll know!  And it is so fabulous to share this news with everyone!  Not to mention, now I don't have to hide my nausea any more :)
What at great feeling it was tell everyone, people were very impressed with our secret keeping skills :)

Baby Remme's heart is thumping away at 160 beats per minute!

Oh....we are so excited that today was the day we heard our little beans heart beat!  I had my first visit with our midwife.  And let me tell you...she is fabulous....an hour and a half of chatting and getting info...so personal and she has such a fun personality!  (Which will come in handy during labor I am assuming)  Josh unfortunately had to work and wasn't able to make it, but when she went and got the doppler (what you hear the babies heart beat with) she told me to get my phone so Josh could listen too!  It didn't take her very long to find the heartbeat.  I was so incredibly excited!!  It was such a relief to hear our little beans heart beating so fast.

I feel as though we have been waiting for this week forever...We will be announcing the good news to my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents on Thursday and then to everyone else on Friday!  Joshua's grandparents will be coming up on Saturday and will hear the good news when they arrive.

I am so incredibly thankful to have a healthy growing baby inside of me, a supportive hubby, wonderful family and friends and a little puppy that always keeps us entertained :)  Loving life...

10 weeks yipppeeee!!!

Almost there....less than a week until we get to announce the wonderful news!  I have an appointment on Monday with the midwife.  Hopefully we will be able to hear baby Remme's little heart beat.  :)  I can't wait.

Today was a good day...I actually cleaned up around the house.  First time in...well...10 weeks.  Up until today I had zero energy.  (Well I wouldn't say I have a ton of energy, since I had to take breaks every 10 minutes, but more than I have had in a while)  No nausea today, I was able to eat something other than toast and bagels.  Soooo thats exciting too :)  Joshua and I had a date night at Olive Garden.  I pretty much ate 2 baskets of breadsticks, 3/4 of the big bowl of salad and an entree.  What?!  I'm eating for two right??  Well its off to sleep.  We get the pleasure of Miss Lily doggy sleeping in our bed tonight...lucky us :)
Oh and baby Remme is officially a "fetus" 'it' even has little fingers and toes.
