It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

All bundled up to shop for our Christmas Tree!
My lovely hubby who cuts down the trees and drags them across the tree farm :)
At this particular tree farm, they had two mini horses. Carter was VERY excited!
He kept saying 'mooooo' to this one. It was spotted like a cow, so he was close :)
Carter constantly hears his mommy saying "no touch"

The 'kid' tree....AKA random ornaments from when Josh and I were growing up.
This tree decided to fall over in the middle of the night.
Growing up it was always a tradition to cut down a tree and pick an ornament. This is Carter's ornament this year. The second he saw it he couldn't stop pointing and saying 'mooooo'

Growing up way too fast

Our little boy is growing up way to fast.

Carter is a 'busy' little man, spending most of his time running around, climbing up on furniture, chasing lily and climbing stairs....constantly. Our day care provider Polly describes Carter as ...
"busy and creative"

He definitely likes to get his way, sharing at daycare is not an option for Carter. His little buddy AJ (who will be 1 this month) will let go of any toy Carter wants...however a new girl Brianna has come into the picture and is giving Carter a run for his money....She will hopefully teach him how to 'share.' With a little cousin almost here, Carter will have to learn that concept soon.

He is now facing forward in the car and LOVES it. We have dvd players in the seats so he gets to watch his Old McDonald Baby Einstein Video. We constantly hear "moooo" from the backseat.

Carter is loving trucks and tractors. He said tractooor the other day....so so cute! He enjoys reading farm and truck themed books.

Carter isn't very gentle with Lily. She spends most of her time on the opposite side of the room. They do enjoy chasing each other every so often.

At his apt (in Oct) he weighed 25lbs and is 32in tall. He FEELS a lot HEAVIER! But we realized he doesn't help you at all when you hold him, so it is complete dead weight. This gets tough especially when he wants mommy to hold him ALL the time.

Carter sleeps like a champ, (taking after his mommy now). Usually going to bed around 8pm and sleeping until 7-8. Yesterday mommy got to sleep until 9! He wakes up and talks to himself for a while. He falls asleep with his lovie, blanket, and of course pacifier. He puts himself to sleep by playing with the tags on his lovie. (1/2 stuffed animal 1/2 blankie). The other day at daycare Polly peeked in on him and he had lifted up the entire mattress and pulled the sheets off, sneaky, yet creative little guy. (with that big grin, you can't help but laugh)

Daddy and Carter love to have wrestle matches every evening. Daddy knows Carter's ticklish spots to a T.

I just wanted to write a little update on our little man. We are so proud of him each and every day. We just cannot believe how old he is acting! Taking care of babes at work is giving me a little baby itch....just an itch....nothing too drastic haha. The real test will be how 'gentle' Carter is with his little cousin Cohen....this should be interesting.

Lots of love! Thanks for stopping by our blog!

Emily's Baby Shower

The work gals threw Emily a baby shower on Monday! She is due at the end of December. How cute is she.....Everyone is getting a little ticked though when she continues to call down to get more small scrubs in the morning when we are running low....yes she is nearing 8 months preggo. Emily and her hubby are going to make such wonderful parents! Can't wait to meet baby boy!

I took a ton of other pics on Emily's camera, so I didn't get too many on mine.

Lily went trick-or-treating

So....Lily found a full bag of bones while we were out trick or treating with Carter. These particular bones have chicken treats wrapped around each bone. Not only did she pull out all (30+) bones, but she got all of the chicken off of each and every one. She was one busy pup. We walked in and the floor was covered along with both couches.
