2 Months Old!

Our little peanut is already 2 months old!
(well these pics were taken more around the 2 1/2 month mark, however I forgot my camera in Lakeville last weekend, so the pics were postponed.)

We had her 2 month appointment on May 9th and here are her stats:

Weight:  11 lb. 5.5 oz.  (50%)
Height:  23 1/2 inches  (75%)
Head: 38.5 cm  (50-75%)

No wonder why she looks so long....she's a skinny little girl with her Grandpa Tim's height :)

Reese also got her first shots... :(
But she did great, one cry and then momma comforted her and she was all better!
Big Brother Carter also comforted her and held her hand as he said, "It's okay Reese....It's okay."

Reese is a smiley little girl.
She is very very content and flashes us a smile often.
She LOVES her mobile at night especially.
We lay her down and she just stares, smiles and coos at it.

Reese is getting to be such a big girl:
She can hold her head up very well.
She holds on tight to toys/rattles/rings that we place in her hands.

She is VERY content when lying flat on the floor under her play gym and often just falls asleep that way.
At night she continues to sleep like a champ!
8-9 hours EVERY night!
Most of the time she goes down at 9 pm and sleeps until 5 or 6
I feed her before bed and if she is still awake she lays quietly in her crib until she drifts off to sleep for the night....I know....I am NEVER going to complain about how easy we have had it with this little gal.

And of course....The one time I am taking a picture of Reese....Carter INSISTED on being in the pic.
But if I ever want a pic of him....it is like pulling teeth.

I had to include this from Carter's 2 month post:
"I brought him in for his 2 month checkup on Tuesday.  He now weights 14 lb 9 oz (97th percentile) and is 24 1/4 inches long (90-97th percentile)  He is wearing 6 month clothing and does not fit in the 0-6 month socks anymore."

Reese is definitely a petite little girl compared to her big bro :)

Scrapbook Madwoman

So one of my goals while on maternity leave was to scrapbook and get caught up!
I think I have done a pretty good job....

Yes these are Carter's books.
I am not going to lie....these 3 huge books contain pictures of him starting as a newborn and only get up to 1 year.
It reminds me that I should probably not take a billion pictures, because I can't leave any out of the books (It's a problem I know :)  I wish I could be that type of scrapbooker that only picks the best pic and uses one per page....but that just isn't me....shoot.

I just love this page.
Carter loved it too!
He wanted to color on mommy's truck scrapbook paper....I put a kibosh to that :)

Ohhh Carter's first birthday....finally I got to a bday!
This was awesome because I used the paper decor from his party thanks to polka-dots-and-pirates (Jess Newman)
It was great because all of the paper coordinated and had such cute dinos and prints on it.

I was so bummed that I had all of these adorable hats, and I didn't know exactly what to do with them.
While at the retreat someone suggested putting it on the page so I could capture the adorable hats.
I love it!

Since I take so many pictures I started doing this.
I use picasa and make a collage (8x10 size)
So all of the pictures I took that month that don't have their own page go here.
It has been making it much easier to get caught up with Carter's book.

Here is another example.  (PS I love my create a critter cartridge)  Look at how stinkin cute that little turkey is!

Carter's first trip to the zoo!  I also do some 'hybrid scrapbooking'
These plastic inserts (left) are great!
It makes it a lot easier to complete a page.

This is my traveling scrapbook center.
I have a whole area downstairs dedicated to scrapping, but I have found it is a little easier to have it in the main area while I am taking care of the munchkins.
Josh isn't too happy about it....This picture shows the area when it is cleaned up and organized.  Usually all of this is sprawled out across our table.  We end up eating outside on the deck or at the counter because this "crap" is everywhere :) I always tell Josh it is an organized mess :)

Oh my gosh....I had to include these.....
MY WEDDING ALBUMS!

I finally FINISHED!
It only took me 4 1/2 years but I finished!
3 huge albums later I have every single memory from our special day.
I thought it was a really good idea to print EVERY picture that was taken at our wedding.
Including professional and everyone's snapshots.
I ended up using a different size book and all black pages.
I also used our wedding colors throughout the entire book
Lots and lots of pink, green and black.

Here are some of my favorite layouts from the books....

I know Josh thinks I am crazy.
But this is what I LOVE to do in my 'spare' time.
It gets a little overwhelming when you are trying to play 'catch up' but I truly love scrapbooking everything.
It is a great way to go back and remember these special moments.
It takes time, patience, space in our house and money (sssh don't tell josh :)
But it's my hobby....and I think that is a good enough excuse :)

My dream one day would be to open up my own store and scrapbook for people!
If anyone thinks this is a good idea and has some extra money laying around....I will totally do it!  haha.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday to the best daddy/hubby around!

We love you so much!

We plan on spending the day at home hanging out and possibly having a fire in our new fire pit!

And Joshua....enjoy your last year as a 20-something-year-old.   :)
(Just kidding, I'm not too far behind :)

lovin up my munchkins

loving up my munchkins

I am such a lucky girl to be able to spend all of this time with these two cuties.

I am definitely going to miss these little faces when I have to go back to work.

(Even though my cute little 2 1/2 year old has been testing mommy's patience lately)

But how can you stay mad at this cute face.....

Reese is getting to be such a big girl!
The shirt explains it all...she loves her milk :)

Carter insists on laying with Reese under her play mat.
She absolutely loves this, sprawled out flat on the floor is her favorite.
She is such a squirmy little one, cuddle time isn't really her thing.

little sister...

I love when babes sleep with the arms up like this....way too cute.

Carter continues to be a great big brother.
We did learn not to wrap her up in one of "HIS" blankets.
He may have pulled the blanket and poor little Reese went flying.
(That was a BIG timeout for the little man)

Most of the time he is awesome.
As I am writing this post he came over and starting talking to his little sister, he then said, "She has a BOOGER!"  And ran and got a Kleenex for her :)

Soon to be Mrs. Fortman

And the celebration begins for Miss Amanda!

Amanda is one of my closest friends from college and was a bridesmaid in my wedding.
She will be marrying Paul at the end of June in Lutsen.
Reese and I drove down to Minnetonka and celebrated with Amanda and her family and friends at a pampered chef bridal shower.
Reese was a little cranky when people held her, but once she fell asleep people were able to snuggle her :)

I can't wait to celebrate next weekend with all of the girls up North, and I definitely cannot wait for the wedding in June!

Here is Amanda with all of her sisters and mom!

Claire (my other college roomate) snuggling with Reese.
Look how comfy she looks!
(Claire you are a natural :)

Let wedding season begin!

Mr. and Mrs. Hale

Last Saturday we were invited to one of my coworker's wedding.
I was so incredibly excited to see Miss Kayla get married!
She was absolutely beautiful!
Her and Brad looked so happy!
Carter got to play at auntie's house all weekend with lil cuz cohen, while mommy, daddy and Reese went to the wedding.

My beautiful coworkers!  It was so much fun seeing everyone from work.  I am definitely loving my time off, but I do miss all of them a ton!   April, Hannah, Hanna, Andrea, Holly and her fiance, along with Susan and her husband were all able to celebrate with Kayla on her special day!  It was a blast!  And Reese definitely got her snuggle time in with everyone :)

Father-daughter dance....love it.

Me and the hubs enjoying the reception.

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Hale....so happy for the two of you!

Friends with the big boys!

I had to be a creeper and snap a pic of the boys playing the other evening.
I thought this was soooo cute.
Carter quickly got his shoes on as soon as he saw all of the kiddos in the neighbor's yard.
He told us he was going to play with the boys....

I looked over and saw all of the big boys sitting at the picnic table....and if you look closely, our little man is hanging out right in the middle.
The boys are such good sports and play so well with Carter.
They were all pretending to fall over as Carter chased them around the yard.
Most days this is the only way I can get him to take a nap....
I say "You can play with Sophie and Dominic (neighbor kiddos) if you take a nap."  (Works every time)  He is so fascinated with them and loves running around outside with the big kids!

I love our backyard and how every yard is connected to the other, so much room for ALL of the kids to run and play!  Carter is also very lucky to have such wonderful neighbors who share their fun playsets!
