Big Cuz Lil Cuz

This past weekend we hung out with the Chap's in Cokato. We had a nice relaxing time. And of course got a little photo session in. We needed to put Cohen in his 'lil cuz' shirt since the little chunky monkey is about to grow out of it.

Here are our little monkeys....I have a feeling in 1 year we may have two little trouble makers on our hands :) Carter only got 1 time-out this weekend for being a little 'rough' with his lil cuz.

Weekends with them just make me want to build a house right next door. I'm sure Eric would love that....since I have all these great home renovation ideas :)

Food Bandit

Little Mr. Carter has been sneaking into the kitchen and helping himself lately. His favorite thing to do is grab a bag of chips, sit on the couch, tear the whole thing open and share with his best bud Lily. This is what I found the other day.....

Sunset

We were able to get some cute sunset pics down in Florida. Its was quite windy, but just as beautiful. Makes me want to buy a one way ticket to Florida right about now.

getting back on track

I had to laugh at the ledge in our kitchen today. For a very health family who maybe takes an ibuprofen every couple of weeks....this is what you would have seen the past couple days in the Remme house.

The plane ride home (last Wed) Josh started to feel achey and chilled....Crap....Fever, cough, congestion.

Carter had his "well" child check last Thursday. Me, being the wonderful mother I am thought I was just bringing him in for vaccines and a checkup. Well the little man had a double ear infection. Who would have known....he was a little saint on the plane (sleeping the whole time) and not one complaint from him our whole trip. Moral of the story is...sometimes nurses aren't the best mommy's (we tend to down play quite a few things...like the green disgusting goop coming out of his eyes all week...oops)

Friday night Carter and I spiked a fever 101/102 and I had to call in sick all weekend. Monday I ventured to work (coughed the entire day) and came home....spiked another 102 temp. chills, body aches, cough etc. Thought I could make it through the night and head into the clinic in the AM....yup woke up at 2 AM couldn't breath, couldn't stop coughing, and couldn't get my temp down. Headed to the ER. Tues...Wed...Thurs had to call in sick. Today was my first day eating solid food in a week. Josh feels much better, just can't hear out of his left ear, and little man Carter is acting just fine and dandy.

We will be quarantined to our house this weekend, focusing on getting better and not exposing anyone else to this ickyness. I hope that none of your families have to deal with this...because it is no fun....but we are definitely heading in the healthy direction :)

Fun in Florida!

This past week was spent in sunny, warm Florida, near Ft Meyers.  My step-dad Jeff hangs out down there all winter and runs his business from the golf course (lucky him) and my mom is able to take weeks off to join him.  We took advantage of course, and planned a trip south.  Carter and I flew down with Nana last Thursday.  Carter was awesome.  He slept for an hour and spent the rest of the flight peeking behind us at his two little friends.  Josh flew down that evening after work. We had a fabulous time and fortunately had amazing weather!  70's, sunny, no humidity...couldn't be better.  The plane ride home we were lucky since Carter slept all 3 hours.  Except we found out today at his 15 month check-up....the reason why....he has a little ear infection...I would have never known, he has been such a happy little camper.

Nana and Grandpa K watched Carter while we enjoyed a date night.  Italian dinner and a movie...

The boys would probably agree that the highlight of the trip was the Auburn vs Oregon game.  (I would disagree...but whatevs)  Here Carter is with Grandpa K cheering for Auburn (even though his daddy was rooting for the ducks)

Give this boy a container of ranch and something to 'dip' and he will be entertained.
