Golf Adventure!

Of course golf was involved with our trip to Florida.  Why wouldn't it be when that is pretty much my Step Dad Jeff's life down there :)  My Mom and Jeff are members at a gorgeous golf club called Concessions in Bradenton.  Josh and Jeff invited us along to see the course and bring the kiddos out for a ride on the golf carts.  I even took some action shots of the guys golfing!

What a fun evening and what a beautiful course.  Now we just need to save up our money so we can buy one of the houses on the course.  (There is one for sale for ONLY 16.5 million)  I better start saving my pennies :)

Siesta Key

So per MN standards Florida was definitely a heat wave...however 40's in the AM and 50-60's during the day is not your typical vacation weather in Florida.  (I am not complaining....buuuuut we would have liked to wear swimsuits to the beach instead of jeans and jackets :)  

Despite the "chilly" temps we were able to enjoy the beautiful beach.

My parents are near Siesta Key (ranked #1 beach in the US).

I am telling you the sand is like flour.

Carter saw white sand piles near the beach and asked if it was snow.

We explained to him that it is too warm in Florida for snow.  He responded with "Well MOM!!  Why don't we live here then!"  (well buddy after this winter I would have to say I just don't know :)

What a beautiful beach and because of the chilly temps we pretty much had it to ourselves :)

The kiddos had a blast playing in the sand and chasing the seagulls!  Hopefully next year we can enjoy the sun and hot weather also!
