Dear Santa.....

We had a wonderful Christmas this year!

(More about that in posts to come)

But I thought I would blog about what was going on in our house the days leading up to Christmas!

Josh and I took the kiddos to the Southdale Santa.

(Lets just say that I had to buy daddy a new sweater just so his evil looks wouldn't beam me down right there in the mall as he waited in line for 2 1/2 hours.  I attempted to entertain the kiddos during that time.  We rented a fun little stroller that Reese LOVED, and everyone in the mall seemed very entertained by our mini santa driving the racecar stroller.  We got there and waited for an hour, were 5 people away and then Santa took a 1 hour and 15 minute lunch break.  Man....sometimes I don't even have time to inhale a bite of food or pee on my 'breaks.'  I guess there are perks for being Santa!

Reese didn't quite know what to think of his beard and Carter was Very Excited to talk to Santa this year.  He told Santa he had been a good boy and he wanted a 4 wheeler, tractors and a REALLY BIG snow plow.  He also told santa he didn't need a leap pad anymore because Nana and Grandpa Jeff got that for him.

Christmas Tree Shopping

We have made it our family tradition to head out and cut down our trees each year.  Or I should say Josh cuts them and drags them across the tree farm while cursing because I 'need' two trees each year.  Little Reese cooperated for a picture, but the little man was NOT in the picture taking mood.  A naughty 3 year old impostor has been visiting our house every since Carter turned 3...and I am now learning that 'terrible' twos are nothin....wait until 3.

Our Trip Out East

Like I said in our Thanksgiving Post.  Me, Carter, Reese, My Mom and Brandon flew out East to visit family.  Josh flew to Florida for a long weekend and spent the time golfing, relaxing etc. (hmm I think someone got the easier end of this deal ??!)

Happy Thanksgiving (a little late)

Yes Yes this is almost a month late....but I am in catch up mode.

We spent Thanksgiving out East this year!

My mom and I took took the kiddos to Massachusetts to visit my Dad's side of the family.  Brandon joined us for the fun!  It was little Reese's first Thanksgiving and we sure had a good time catching up with everyone. 

We flew that morning and arrived that afternoon.  Everyone joined the fun at Grandma's that evening.

Can you believe it...I can't.

He is getting to be such a big boy!  Not a baby anymore.

And what a fun little guy he is.  Carter loves his little cousin and the two of them have so much fun when together.  I am sure they will grow to be just the bestest of friends.
